Marpha Village, Mustang in 1960s

Marpha village is one of beautiful and popular village in Mustang District. Village is full of beautiful views, gumbas, monasteries. Along the beautiful views, people living there are too friendly and very hard working as the name Marpha itself means: "Mar" meaning hard working and "Pha" meaning people.
The major attraction includes the traditional flat mud house with piles of firewood stacked upon the house and the wooden windows are beautifully carved. Other unique features are long main spotless flagstones, and paved alleys.

Bob Nicholas had the opportunity to visit the place in 1967 and captured following awesome images which shows the beautiful Marpha village with houses, hills and yaks and cows gazing. Enjoy following awesome clicks:
