Chandeshwori Jatra of Banepa during 1970s

Chandeshwori Jatra is one of the largest Jatra that is celebrated in Banepa, Kavrepalanchowk and is celebrated for 3 days. Jatra was started after demon Chanasur was defeated by Goddess Chandeshwori and is being celebrated during first Purnima of the New year ( Buddha Purnima).

As this is the main Jatra for the Kavreli and Banepalis, huge number of people will come to the Jatra to worship and observe the chariot. And following image is captured by Bhuwan Bhochhibhoya during 1970s which shows the huge number of people in the Jatra and the Chariot.
